Torta de Morango com Suspiro -

Strawberry with Merengue Cookies Trifle

Ingredients:

1 lb. strawberries

4 tablespoons of sugar

 

10 oz. meringue cookies

1 recipe Chantilly (about 5-6 cups)

 

Instructions:

Reserve 1 whole strawberry for decoration.

Clean and slice the rest of the strawberries, add the sugar and mix well. Leave in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Reserve.

 

In a trifle bowl add a layer of meringue cookies to cover the bottom.

Add 1/3 of sliced strawberries over meringue cookies.

Add 1/4 of whipped cream. Spread well.

Repeat the layers 2 more times with the merengue cookies, strawberries and Chantilly.

Add the last 1/4 of whipped cream to a decorating bag with star tip and decorate the trifle.

Finish decorating with the whole strawberry.

Refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.

 

Keep refrigerated.
