Yield: 8 cups

 

Ingredients:

1 LB unsalted toasted almonds

2 cups of sugar

1 cup of water

1 teaspoon of baking powder

2 teaspoons of cocoa powder

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

 

Instructions:

Toast almonds for 10 minutes at 350°F, mixing them after 5 minutes.

Keep 2 cookie sheets on the counter to spread sweet almonds after done.

Add all the ingredients in a large pan, as it creates a lot of suds.

Cook over medium heat, mixing with a wood spoon every 3 – 5 minutes.

When it starts to dry out, mix without stopping until you can see the bottom of the pan.

Spread the sweet almonds on the cookie sheets.

Allow to cool down completely and store in an airtight container.
