Yield: 35 – 40 balls

 

Ingredients:

1 can condensed milk

1 tablespoon of butter

100g of fine shredded coconut for dough

100g of fine shredded coconut for coating

 

Instructions:

Coat a dinner plate with butter.

 

In a sauce pan add condensed milk, butter and 100g of coconut.

Cook over medium heat, stirring all the time with a wood spoon.

When you can see the bottom of the pan while stirring, the dough is done. Pour dough into the plate coated with butter.

 

Wait half hour or until dough gets cool to the touch.

Roll into little balls and coat with coconut.

 

Keep in air tight container up to 2 weeks

Beijinho - Little Kiss

The recipe for today is Beijinho - Little Kiss, and it is second on the list of Brazilian birthday party goodies, losing only to Brigadeiros.  It is a caramel/coconut truffle coated with fine coconut flakes, and believe me it is yummy...

When making Beijinhos, you can double the recipe.  Just do not try more than 2 cans of condensed milk at the time, as it becomes difficult to mix…
