Ingredients batter:

2 cups flour

1 cup cocoa powder

1 tablespoon baking powder

 

3 eggs

½ cup oil

1 cup sugar

 

1 cup milk (microwave for 1 minute)

 

Instructions batter:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray a 10”x3” round pan or two 9” round pan with baking spray with flour. Cover the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.

 

In a bowl mix flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Reserve.

In a mixer beat eggs for 5 minutes.

Add oil and sugar. Mix well.

Add 1/3 of the milk and beat until fluffy.

Add ½ of flour mixture and mix well.

Add the rest of milk and flour mixture. Mix well.

 

Pour cake batter in the prepared pan and bake for 30 - 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes, remove from pan to wire racks and cool completely.

Bolo Prestígio Part 1 of 2 - Chocolate Cake

Hi Everyone,

The recipe for today is Bolo Prestígio. It is a decadent moist chocolate cake with coconut cream filing. It will be a 2 part recipe: part 1 – Chocolate Cake and part 2 – mixture to moisten cake, filling, glaze and decorating.

The cake should be cold, so I make it the day before using it, as it becomes more firm and easier to cut. You can either cut the cake with a gadget special for it, or a serrated knife or a dental floss without any flavor to it.
